Installing ScanBay software on your Chome sales system PC

This upgrade also installs Device Recovery software, which is used to recover diagnostic software.

Note: All images and illustrations used in this document are intended as examples, and are for reference only.

System Requirements

The ScanBay Upgrade Software is intended to only be installed and used on your authorized Snap-on Chrome sales system laptop.

Installation Instructions

Software installation can take approximately 60 minutes.

1. On your Chrome sales system laptop:
a. Close all open applications.
b. Close all sales system software, including both Chrome and Chrome Notifier. Chrome Notifier can be closed by right clicking the Chrome Notifier icon from the Windows taskbar, and selecting Exit.

2. Insert the ScanBay upgrade USB device into a USB jack on your laptop.
3. Select My Computer or Computer from the Windows desktop.
4. Select the ScanBay Upgrade USB device (just connected) from the list, to view the device files.
5. Double click Install_Scanbay.exe to begin the ScanBay installation.

6. Select Next on the ScanBay Welcome screen.

7. Select Install from the “ready to install” confirmation screen.

An installation progress screen will display as the installation is performed. Installation may take a few minutes to complete.

Various informational screens may display, as the installation continues.

IMPORTANT: Allow the installation to run without interruption.

When the installation is finished, a completion confirmation message is displayed.

8. Select Finish.

9. Remove the ScanBay upgrade software USB device from the laptop.

ScanBay synchronization is required to register the installation and complete the synchronization with the Chrome server.

10. Start Chrome and Chrome Notifier.
11. Establish the Chrome Notifier connection with the Snap-on Chrome server.
12. Right click the Chrome Notifier icon from the Windows taskbar, and select Synchronize ScanBay.
